Elizabeth: The Golden Age tells the thrilling tale of an era…the story of one woman’s crusade to control love, crush enemies and secure her position as a beloved icon of the western world.

The movie comes to US theaters October 12.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Abbie Cornish is part of the judging panel for Bryan Brown’s short film festival, The Reel Deal, which will take place at the Revesby Workers Club on August 11.

Cate Blanchett has pulled out of the judging panel for Bryan Brown’s short film festival, The Reel Deal. Blanchett, who had agreed to be part of the event in Revesby in August, will instead be working overseas when the event is on. “She was really keen,” a spokeswoman for Brown’s event said, “but unfortunately she had to pull out at the last minute.”

Other stars including Abbie Cornish, Georgie Parker (Blanchett’s replacement), Khao Do and Wil Anderson will form part of the judging panel, alongside Brown himself.

The Reel Deal film festival awards will take place at the Revesby Workers Club on August 11. There will be free screenings of short films at the club on July 29.

I came across a stunning new photoshoot of Abbie, which was shot earlier this year. She looks totally gorgeous there, as usual.

This will, unfortunately, most likely be my last update for the month. I am moving house so it will take a while for my internet to be re-connected. But fear not, Mycah will keep the site updated and when I return, you can expect a ton of scans being added to the gallery.

The gallery has been updated the high quality screencaptures of Miss Abbie playing Christie Roberts in the 2006 film A Good Year. While I didn’t like the film Abbie Cornish is so cute and charming in this movie it’s certainly another performance worth checking out if you have the chance.
